Chinese Music at the Cinema: Apr. 15 at Vancouver Public Library

Two artists Dailin Hsieh and Annie Lai from the BC Chinese Music Association will explore Chinese music as background music in movies. You will have a good opportunity to a peek at the beauty of Chinese music and how it is used in movies and other types of films. There will be a live demonstration of diegetic music/sound and non-diegetic music/sound, along with an interactive activity for audiences to experience the fun of choosing music for film clips.

庇詩中樂協會的箏樂演奏家謝岱霖與音樂創作及編曲家賴彥妤，將帶領聽衆探索電影中的中國音樂，介紹國樂的演出形式與編制，以及在電影配樂中受歡迎的中國樂器。並以現場演出引導聽衆欣賞畫内音跟畫外音的差異，同時也讓觀衆參與配樂活動！
