The BC Chinese Music Ensemble (BCCME) will be performing at Presentation House Theatre (333 Chesterfield Avenue, North Vancouver BC) on November 2, at 6 PM.

The theme of this concert is a musical journey in China, presenting traditional Chinese music from different regions and provinces in China. The repertoire is specially selected for this concert, representing each region of China. Music such as Hongorei from Inner Mongolia, The Wandering Songstress which is a popular tune from the Shanghai region, Northern-East Lullaby which is a folk song from Heilongjiang, the most Northeast province of China, will be featured. This music comes from the North to the South, and from the West to East of China – forming a musical map of the country. BC Chinese Music Ensemble would like to bring local audiences into this map to listen to the sound, feel the emotions, see the view, and taste the flavour of different parts of China through their performance that takes place in Canada.

Featured performers: Charlie Lui, Dailin Hsieh, and Bruce Bai
