Intercultural Innovations III

The Intercultural Innovations III concert will be held on June 17, 2017 2:00pm at the Fraser Lands Church (3330 S.E. Marine Drive, Vancouver, BC).

The newly formed ensemble, the B.C. Youth Chinese Orchestra Intercultural Ensemble, consists of members of the B.C. Youth Chinese Orchestra (BCYCO) and Richmond Delta Youth Orchestra.

The concert will include classical Chinese and western works reinforcing the idea of a multicultural Canada. The concert will also produce six high-quality compositions with intercultural forces. Using folk and traditional sources and texts as guides to musical style, this concert aims to educate youth on important historical-musical dimensions of both their Chinese and Canadian heritage.
